The Investment Attraction Team of Lombardy Region at the BIO International Convention 2024
From June 3 to 6, 2024, the foreign investment attraction team of Lombardy Region will participate in the BIO International Convention in San Diego to present the Lombard ecosystem in the Life Sciences sector.
The BIO International Convention is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive event in the biotechnology sector, representing the entire biotech ecosystem with the participation of over 20,000 industry leaders from around the world.
With a strong commitment to innovation and research, Lombardy Region presents itself as a dynamic and attractive hub for the biotechnology sector, ready to support new initiatives and facilitate the expansion of companies in its territory.
Lombardy Region is indeed one of the leading regions in Italy in the field of biotechnology, with significant representation in the sector. The region contributes over 90% of the national revenue in the sector, 80% of intra-mural research and development investments, and 80% of the workforce. These figures testify to its centrality in the Italian and European biotechnology landscape, making it an ideal place for biotech companies interested in expanding.
