The real-estate sector responds to the Covid19 crisis with flexibility and inventiveness, on the same level are presented also new real-estate development projects concerning services: from those for students to those for health, from agriculture to safety, up to "rethinking" entire city areas. But let's see in detail the six projects that the Lombard municipalities will present at MIPIM in Cannes with the Lombardy Region.

Students Life - Following the increasing needs of students as well as the added value of the activities they can create, the Municipality of Crema plans to relaunch the "Ex Olivetti area", involving the three areas of which it is composed:

  • industrial area - the creation of a web application capable of enhancing and promoting the area will attract private investments, highlighting the existing services, the established companies, the available areas, the viability and giving a better awareness of one's own productive capital;

  • university site - the hypothesis is that of establishing a European Center for Research and Higher Education in Applied Mathematics of international significance with consequent renovation  of the interior to increase its accessibility and the development of connections with the surrounding urban fabric;

  • ex Cascina Pierina - 105,000 square meters of space to be redeveloped and redefined to serve the community.

Health - Among the alternative and innovative investments for 2022, experts report turmoil for a strategic sector such as that of nursing homes and retirement homes for the elderly. The Municipality of Quistello proposes the New specialized center "Q-Rehab". The project involves the transformation of an old industrial building into a modern rehabilitation center with teaching rooms and a conference room. Outside the idea is to build apartments for families of long-term hospitalized patients and homes for self-sufficient elderly people.

Agriculture - The Municipality of Sustinente is planning to reuse Villa Guerrieri Gonzaga for the "MASP - Mantua Agriculture Sustainability Project". A training and innovation center capable of improving the competitiveness and environmental sustainability of agriculture and agro-industrial companies through three main activities:

  • master and post-diploma courses on agri-food and precision agriculture;
  • services for agricultural local businesses and technology transfer;
  • promotion of local agri-food excellence.

Given the agricultural vocation of the area and the size of the area and the building, the property is perfectly suited to perform the functions of a center for experimentation as well as a service and analysis center for entrepreneurs, trade associations and agencies such as ARPA.

Security - The Municipality of Vigevano has the important objective of aggregating all the functions related to security in a single place, creating a pole, the "Citadel of Security", which hosts the military stations of four bodies: Carabinieri, State Police, Guardia di Finanza and Fire Brigade.

The City - The "Mantova Hub" project: Research Center; Covered Market Project, is an important urban regeneration intervention by the Municipality of Mantua, which entails for the redevelopment of about 90,000 square meters, located between the lakes of the Mantua naturalistic area and the historic center of the city.

Culture - The last project is the one promoted by the Municipality of Gallarate for "Palazzo Minoletti". The challenge here is to "reuse" the building through a shared public-and-private planning, which could certainly be a "flywheel" for the city's economy.
