At Lariofiere the new event on space economy. Entrepreneurs, startuppers, science popularizers and influencers together for space project innovation.
"LarioSpace" is the new event on technology and innovation in the space business sector in Italy, organized by the startup Involve Space and by Lariofiere, a foundation of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce, which on May 9, at the Lariofiere exhibition center in Erba (Como), illustrated the challenges of the space economy by showing the main technological innovations and prospects for the future.
Several key figures of the Italian space ecosystem, including companies, start-ups, public and research institutions related to this sector, had the opportunity to discuss topics such as space telecommunications, Earth observation, Moon and Mars exploration, small satellite missions and training and educational projects, the environment and sustainability, sharing ideas and kicking off an event that aims to be in the future "a showcase for Italian excellence and a reference point for the national space ecosystem", as Jonathan Polotto, founder of the event and CEO of Involve Space, pointed out when speaking at the inaugural conference "How Italy is Innovating the Space Economy."
The event received patronages/(sponsorships) from the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and the Lombardy Region.
Aerospace is a unique opportunity for Italy (and Lombardy), 3rd contributor to the European Space Agency, to be at the center of a global revolution that is transforming the world: new technologies, the challenge to eco-sustainability, robotics and artificial intelligence. In fact, the global value of the space economy is estimated to reach $1 trillion by 2040 and represent the gateway a revolutionary future for a new level of daily life.
